Vacation Bible School

VBS Logo 2014St. John’s Church Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 16-20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day!

VBS is for all children entering Kindergarten through Grade 5. Those over Grade 6 are welcome to be a Team Member/Volunteer during this wonderful week.

Our theme this year is: Kids Serving Kids, where children will connect their lives with real stories of children from around the world.  These stories and activities are based on the book Tales of the Not Forgotten by Beth Guckenberger.

Stories from Tales of the Not Forgotten are set in Mexico, Haiti, Africa, and India. Each day children will learn about the stories of children around the world, which will take them on a journey to faraway lands and unknown places. On the way they will see the hand of God and participate in considering the needs of others through giving, praying and serving. Through this wonderful experience, children will begin to find answers to these challenging questions: What can I give? How do I pray? Where can I go to serve others?

Our Bible Memory Verse for the week will remind us of this exciting experience:  “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid” (Hebrews 13:5, 6, NIV).

Don’t miss out on this memorable program where children will see God’s hand help children around the world.

The cost of VBS is $10.00 per child or $15.00 per family. Contact the church office for assistance.
