Donate Online

Gifts from parishioners are the primary means by which St. John’s receives the financial resources to carry out our mission. Your commitment helps St. John’s to keep our commitments to celebrate the sacraments, to educate, and to rise to the occasion of meeting increased needs locally and in the world around us, being a Light in the darkness and making God’s kingdom present in our world. Donations can take a variety of forms depending on their purpose and the church’s needs. The major forms of giving to the church are:

Online Giving

We certainly encourage you to consider Online Giving when making your donation to St. John’s whether it is a one-time donation, recurring donation, special needs donation or even your Annual Pledge – the giving schedule is up to you. And donating online is easy, fast and secure. Additionally it greatly helps St. John’s in our administrative tasks.

You have several choices for Online Giving: our website, mobile app or with a quick text message! After creating an account, you’re able to give a special gift, or schedule your contribution or pledge directly from your checking account or by using your debit or credit card. Please know that this process is protected with the highest levels of internet security!

Online Giving from Website
You can give a one-time gift, or set up a recurring weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual schedule. Choose from the calendar the date that you would like your contribution submitted. Select your payment method. Select which fund you would like to give to from the drop-down list. The General Operating Fund is the default. You also have the opportunity to include an additional 3{8ab28728e6cfa90158a0104821d8f62b3259d1c73034263ff397a00582c934b9} to cover the processing to your donation. Then, simply tap “Give!” to process your contribution.

Giving using our App
The first thing you need to do is launch the app store from your phone or tablet and search for the “SimpleChurch” app. The logo is the “green giving tree.”

Make sure your location services are turned ON. After you download the app, open it up and search for “St. John’s Anglican Church, 76110.” Follow the simple instructions to login. You can set up a recurring schedule as noted above. Once your profile is complete you are ready to make a donation by tapping the “Give” icon. Enter the amount and choose your recurrence.

Text-Giving
Text-giving is extremely easy. All you do is text the amount you would like to give to the number assigned to St. John’s. 1-817-477-6437. Put this number in your directory or address book in your phone. The first time you text this number you will be prompted to visit a secure web address. Once you are registered you will not need to repeat this step with future text-giving. After completing the registration follow the directions to make your donation. You will immediately receive a confirmation text showing your donation was successful.

Financial Pledging

At St. John’s, we depend on regular donations to meet our annual operating expenses and to support our outreach programs. The majority of these donations are provided as financial pledges. Your pledge is important to us because the total pledge amount from all parishioners is used as the basis of our operating budget. We will gladly welcome a new pledge at any time of the year. For more information, please contact the church office.

If you would like to make a pledge online, you can go to the Plug In section of our website, and click on Stewardship Pledge.

You can print a pledge card from this page to be completed and returned to the church by mail. You can also email the church office or call (817) 927-5341 and ask to have a pledge card sent to you.

Pledge payments can be made at any frequency (from weekly to a single annual payment) to suit the donor and are usually collected during the Sunday plate offering or by mailing a check using the following address:

St. John’s Anglican Church
2401 College Avenue
Fort Worth, Texas 76110

Your pledge is a tax deductible gift. Quarterly Pledge Statements are issued to help keep you up to date on your giving.

In the fall of each year, during the Stewardship Pledge Drive, pledge cards are distributed and all parishioners are asked to prayerfully reflect on God’s gifts in their lives as they make their pledge to the church for the upcoming year.

At St. John’s, we endorse the principle of tithing and encourage our members to strive toward this Biblical goal.  The days ahead present us with a special challenge. Given such uncertainty, we pray you will consider your giving to St. John’s as one of your priorities.

Planned Giving

This type of giving can take a variety of forms. The simplest and best known is a bequest to the church in the donor’s will. Other forms include Life Insurance, Charitable Gift Annuities and Undisbursed Retirement Assets.

As part of sound financial planning, all parishioners are encouraged to have a will. St. John’s hopes that its members will consider contributing to the ongoing Christian mission of the church in their passing, just as they have during their lives. St. John’s Anglican Church can be named as beneficiary on insurance policies or as a recipient of undisbursed retirement assets. The church can also be a partner in a Charitable Gift Annuity wherein the donor receives regular income during his or her life from the principal, with any remaining principal left to the church upon the donor’s death.

These and other planned giving arrangements can have substantial tax benefits for the donor and the donor’s estate. Those who wish to include St. John’s in their will, or to contribute through other types of planned giving, are urged to contact the church, either directly or through their attorney, to ensure that their wishes are clear and that the details of an eventual legal transfer of estate assets are properly arranged.
