Wednesday Lenten Program Begins, Feb 21, “Seeking and Acquiring the Virtues” …  Join us five Wednesday evenings during Lent, beginning February 21, for study and discussion with Father Estes on the Christian Virtues. Virtue has been defined as a habitual and firm disposition to do good. But what are the virtues that a Christian should seek? Where do we learn about them? How do we go about acquiring them? Join us February 21 and 28, and March 7, 14, and 21. Stations at 6:00, dinner at 6:30, and formation at 7:00.  Please join us!

Emergency Preparedness Program, March 10th … For some months the diocesan Risk Management Committee has been developing a plan and program to increase the level of emergency preparedness in each parish and mission. Whether the crisis is a medical emergency during worship or a grease fire in the kitchen, a tornado warning or a violent intruder, leaders in every congregation need to be ready to respond.  Two training sessions open to the parishes of the Deanery are set for Sat, March 10th and Sat, May 12th from 10am-3pm.  Fr. Jay Atwood from St. Francis in Willow Park will be the presenter.  Lunch is provided (donation basket available).  Childcare will be provided on request.  Call the parish office or email office@ stjohnsfortworth.com to RSVP and let us know which session you would like to attend. Reservations are required  for lunch and childcare.  Sessions are open to all members, but vestry, ushers, altar servers, nursery workers and catechists are especially encouraged to attend.
