St. John’s Lenten Program:  The Truth About Money   God’s first delegation to Adam and Eve was to exercise dominion over every part of their life. To take control of their life. From this evolved our Christian teaching of stewardship which is about just that, managing God’s world in a way that reflects His ways and always for His glory. We are God’s stewards, His managers. We are called to manage our time, talents, treasure, relationships, family life, jobs, and yes, even all our gadgets and stuff. When we get stewardship right it changes everything. It changes our perspective on our family and home budgets, our daily decisions, even our purpose in life. When we understand stewardship in this way our lives change with every decision we make.

This year for our Lenten program we will study on what the Bible has to say about an incredible subject… Money. Our leader is Bob Hampton, CPA, CLU, ChFC. Bob is our treasurer and member of our Finance Committee and former vestry member. He is passionate about Christian stewardship and is a gifted teacher. Bob and his wife Lisa have been members of St John’s for many years. We will be exploring the following topics:

March 13, 2019 – Biblical Stewardship

March 20, 2019 – Getting Out of Debt

March 27, 2019 – Investing for the Future

April 3, 2019 – Giving Back to God
