Bishop’s Confirmation Visit & Church Picnic May 5: Bishop William Wantland will be visiting St. John’s on Sunday, May 5. Services will be held at 8:00 and 10:00 only, with Confirmation celebrated at the 10:00 mass, followed by our annual Parish Picnic. All those desiring to be confirmed on May 5th will need to fill out and return a Confirmation form by Tues, April 30th.
God’s “J-Shaped” People: Join Fr Klein in a Lenten study and discover how God prepared the world for the Passion of Christ in the Old Testament. We will look at seven key “salvation figures” (Joel, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, Jonah, Job, Jeremiah) whom God chose that furthered His plan of redemption history (Heb 11:39-40) until all was made perfect in Christ! Join us Sunday Mornings from 10:15—11:10 am.

Palm Sunday: We hope all will join us next Sunday as we usher in Holy Week with the Liturgy of the Palms and the Liturgy of the Passion. In honor of this special day, the Children’s Choir will be singing at 9:00 and the Bell Choir will be performing at 11:15. We hope you will join us for one (or both!) of these beautiful services as we begin our last week of preparation for the Resurrection of our Lord!

GS Level I Formation Course, June 3-7: St. Peter and St. Paul will be sponsoring a Level I Part I Formation Course in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd here at St. John’s June 3-7. Cost is $150 for those inside our Diocese and $320 for those outside the Diocese. (Those who have already taken the course are welcome to attend at not cost.) The Gospel According to Isaiah: Join Fr. Estes Wednesday mornings as we explore the writings of the prophet Isaiah, especially his foretelling of the Gospel story. Bible study is 9:30-10:30, followed by the 11:00 mass

St. John’s Lenten Program The Truth About Money: We hope you will join us this Wednesday, April 10, for the last of our Lenten study on what the Bible has to say about an incredible subject… Money. Our leader, Bob Hampton, CPA, CLU, ChFC, is our current treasurer, a member of our Finance Committee, and a former vestry member. He is passionate about Christian stewardship and is a gifted teacher. Bob and his wife Lisa have been members of St John’s for many years. April 10 – Stewardship of the Culture. Children are invited to go to the atrium. Nursery is available, as well.
