Women of St. John’s Garden Party, Saturday, May 6 … The Women of St. John’s will hold their Spring Garden Party on Saturday, May 6, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the home of Lin Parham. Bring a salad or dessert (nothing that needs cooking or re-heating, please), wear your favorite hat if you like, and come join the fun!
Men’s Clean-up Day, Saturday, May 6, 11:00 am … While the women are enjoying the Garden Party, the men are invited to help clean up the church grounds to get it ready for the BBQ Picnic on the 14th. For convenience, the time will coincide with the Garden Party: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, but you’re welcome to come earlier. If you have a metal detector or large magnet to help with nail pickup, that would be great; otherwise just bring your sharp eyes! Trash bags provided. For more info see Fr. Estes.
Bishop’s Confirmation Visit, May 14, 10:00 am … Bishop Jack Iker will make his annual visitation to St. John’s on Sunday, May 14th. Services that day will be held at 8:00 and 10:00 only, with Confirmation celebrated at the 10:00 am service. Afterwards, Bishop Iker will bless the new playground, and a BBQ picnic will be held in the backyard in lieu of our usual reception. Food provided. Bring a picnic-friendly dessert and a lawn chair or blanket (outdoor seating is limited).
