Bob & Bettie Bosworth for the photos taken; Lisa, Stewart, Liam, and Patrick Estes for preparing the Easter Egg Hunt; Charissa Christopher for the beautiful Easter reception; the many altar servers, acolytes, readers, ushers, and other forgotten volunteers; and, finally, to Fr. Bishop’s Confirmation Visit & Church Picnic May 5: Bishop William Wantland will be visiting St. John’s on Sunday, May 5. Services will be held at 8:00 and 10:00 only, with Confirmation celebrated at the 10:00 mass, followed by our annual Parish Picnic (see insert for details). All those desiring to be confirmed on May 5th will need to fill out and return a Confirmation form by Tues, April 30th.
CGS Level I Formation Course, June 3-7: St. Peter and St. Paul will be sponsoring a Level I Part I Formation Course in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd here at St. John’s June 3-7. Cost is $150 for those inside our Diocese and $320 for those outside the Diocese. (Those who have already taken the course are welcome to attend at not cost.) Congratulations Dr. Lange!: Our very own Dr. Diane Lange has been awarded and is now a member of The Academy of Distinguished Teachers at UT Arlington. The award recognizes tenured faculty for a sustained record of outstanding teaching, personal commitment to students and the learning process, and the ability to motivate and inspire students. Diane is one of five faculty members inducted into the Academy. Congratulations Diane!
