Thank You to Our Wonderful Volunteers!:  We’d like to thank everyone who worked so diligently the last few weeks to make our Lenten Program, Holy Week, and Easter Day so wonderful! Thank you to Bob Hampton for leading the adult Lenten study; Luis Medina, Sarah Robertson, and Patrick Wells for leading the teen Lenten study; Lisa Estes, Diane Klein, Shelley Lowe, Charissa Christopher, Angela Crum, Janice Magee, and Christy Medina for leading the children in the atriums;  Diane McCusker, Gerald & Dorothy Gregory, Bettie Bosworth, Olga Fry, Jay & Carolyn Inman, and Marty & Kendall Smith for serving our Lenten dinners; Gerald Gregory, Mike Beaupré, and Jacob Belk for helping with Stations of the Cross; Feastivities for providing Lenten meals; Alan Potts, Diane Lange, the Chancel, Bell, and Children’s Choirs for all the lovely music; Mike & Linda Beaupré and the youth group for making all our Palm Sunday crosses; Trish Williamson and the Altar Guild, especially those who came out for our annual Fluff and Buff, Janie Batsche, Lin Parham, Christina Pavlovsky,  and Rusty & Carol Wood; Sara Ward, Sarah Robertson, and Doug White for preparing the Easter flowers and the Cross for the children to flower; Diane Klein, Linn Parham, Christina Pavlovsky, Trish Williamson, and Sarah Stringer for their help in the office; Dorothy Gregory for managing child care; Fr. Bob & Bettie Bosworth for the photos taken; Lisa, Stewart, Liam, and Patrick Estes for preparing the Easter Egg Hunt; Charissa Christopher for the beautiful Easter reception; the many altar servers, acolytes, readers, ushers, and other forgotten volunteers; and, finally, to Fr. Klein, Fr. Estes, and Fr. Bosworth for their commitment to upholding the true meaning of the Gospel message during a time that so many have forgotten. THANK YOU!

Bishop’s Confirmation Visit & Church Picnic May 5:  Bishop William Wantland will be visiting St. John’s on Sunday, May 5. Services will be held at 8:00 and 10:00 only, with Confirmation celebrated at the 10:00 mass, followed by our annual Parish Picnic (see insert for details). All those desiring to be confirmed on May 5th will need to fill out and return a Confirmation form by Tues, April 30th.  

CGS Level I Formation Course, June 3-7:  St. Peter and St. Paul will be sponsoring a Level I Part I Formation Course in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd here at St. John’s June 3-7. Cost is $150 for those inside our Diocese and $320 for those outside the Diocese. (Those who have already  taken the course are welcome to attend at not cost.) Congratulations Dr. Lange!:  Our very own Dr. Diane Lange has been awarded and is now a member of The Academy of Distinguished Teachers at UT Arlington.  The award recognizes tenured faculty for a sustained record of outstanding teaching, personal commitment to students and the learning process, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.  Diane is one of five faculty members inducted into the Academy.  Congratulations Diane!
